FOCUS ON
ORNX GREEN HYDROGEN PLATFORM
The ORNX Green Hydrogen Platform aims to invest in the advancement of large-scale wind and solar projects to produce green hydrogen in Morocco
These facilities will be instrumental in producing green hydrogen, which can be utilized either as a direct renewable fuel, or blended with other gases to manufacture ammonia; or synthetic fuels, like methanol or SAF, employing established chemical processes.
The Platform encompasses electricity generating sites, and a strategically located industrial complex designed for storage and industrial processes. ORNX will take advantage of vertical and horizontal integration opportunities in connection with the electricity generating sites, the industrial complex and new or modified shipping infrastructure within Morocco.
LOCATION
The platform comprises three electricity-generating sites located in the Southern Moroccan desert near Boujdour, Dakhla and Laayoune, and one site dedicated to storage and industrial processes near the Port of Laayoune.
These sites are located on land where there is currently no residential, economic, agricultural or recreation activities.
